Bath

After a leisurely breakfast out with my husband and a quick trip to Linens 'n Things for supplies, I spent the day tackling one of the items on my spring cleaning checklist... the master bathroom. I scrubbed everything spotless (except the shower that my husband tackled!) and reorganized all the cabinets and drawers along with tossing out old cosmetics and household cleaning products. One more item to check off my spring cleaning list!

Pbbaby_gift

Spent today shopping at Bellevue Square... baby gifts for a dear friend that I have known since high school who just gave birth to a adorable baby boy and a birthday present for a coworker/friend. Also made sure to take some time out of my shopping for others to buy a few fun items for myself along with a delicious lunch at P.F. Changs. I love those yummy crab wontons! The weather was sunny the entire time I was shopping, but unfortunately on the way home it turned dark, gray, and started snowing/slushing again! I hope this weird weather lets up soon!

Discsox

I am always looking for new gear to help keep me and my home organized. The Discsox DVD Pro Set is a flip file with 50 plastic sleeves to store and protect DVDs. The sleeves hold all parts of the original DVD plastic case, including the booklet and cover art. And the tabs at the top help keep the movies sorted by genre. So much more streamlined than keeping all those bulky DVD cases! Now I just need to go through my DVD collection to determine how many sleeves I should order.

West_seattle_bowl

Hope you all had a wonderful Easter weekend! I spent Easter Sunday not participating in traditional Easter events, but bowling with friends at West Seattle Bowl and having an early dinner at a nearby Japanese restaurant. Bowling was so much fun, even though I am completely horrible at it. I keep hoping that practice will make perfect, but it hasn’t happened so far!!

Felt_french_fries

One of my weekend projects is scanning the covers of all my Japanese craft books. These images filed along with information for each book will be used to create a better inventory of my craft book library... something I have been wanting to accomplish.

I’ll also be sharing this information under “Craft Books” in the right column of my blog. Please let me know if you have any questions about any of the books in my library. I'll also add more books as I complete my scanning project, along with any new purchases I make along the way!

EdiblesI was searching online for something to send to a sick family member that wasn’t the typical get well card or floral arrangement and found these greeting card cookies from Edibles, Inc. These sugar cookies can be inscribed with a custom message written in butter cream frosting and arrive in a beautifully wrapped gift box. The company also sells Krispie Bites, bite-sized pieces of Rice Krispie Treats covered in a white-chocolate coating, and Grahams, white-chocolate dipped graham cookies. Such sweet and unique treats to send to loved ones.

Scarf_hanger

I currently keep all my scarves in a jumbled mess in a basket in my closet. I could definitely use a couple of these scarf hangers to keep them organized and be able to see what I have more clearly.

I am really loving the botanical silhouettes on the Mist dinnerware from Crate & Barrel. So pretty!

Pingg_2

Although I love the ease of sending evites, I don’t always like the designs available to choose from. The online invitations available on pingg are much more my style and I love that you can upload your own designs.
