One of my favorite places to visit when I head down to Portland is Fabric Depot. I can spend hours wandering up and down the aisles of this 73,000-square-foot store. While I am able to sew simple items, my mom is an excellent seamstress and loves to sew for me. I always keep a list of yardage information on hand so I can easily purchase fabric to send home to Hawaii for my mom to sew into ensembles for me. On this trip, I purchased cotton fabrics and hand-dyed batik prints to sew into spring tops. I can’t wait to receive a package back from my mom to see how they turned out!

Spent last night setting up our brand new computer system... installing software, bookmarking favorites, and hooking up peripherals. And as my husband pointed out to me this morning, we now have four computers for our household of two!
