Blueberry_white_tea

This morning instead of getting my usual venti green shaken iced tea at the Starbucks drive-thru, I opted to try the new blueberry white shaken iced tea. The tea is a blend of freshly brewed Tazo white tea leaves with a light blueberry flavor. It’s refreshing and I like the hint of blueberry, but I think I’ll stick with my usual tomorrow morning.

Sock_and_glove The “Sock and Glove: Creating Charming Softy Friends from Cast-Off Socks and Gloves” book looks like such a cute manual for turning stray socks, mittens, and gloves into fun stuffed creations. I’ll have to look for it the next time I am out browsing at the bookstore. Maybe I can find something new to make for my adorable niece to play with...

Momiji_Dolls These Momiji Dollas are sooo cute! I want one (or more!) for my desk at work. Also, I love the fact that inside the 3-inch dolls there is a tiny folded card to inscribe a secret message.

Bags_and_hangerDrove up to the Seattle Premium Outlets for a little shopping therapy this morning. Unfortunately, I couldn't find anything that I really wanted to buy! I did get a cute little lime green scarf tie from the Coach outlet for my white Coach Legacy Leather Satchel that my mother-in-law bought me a while ago and I haven't taken out of the dust bag yet. Maybe this will get the satchel out of the closet and on my arm! I also picked up a some more summer basics at the Gap. I was hoping to find some ballet flats, but couldn't find anything that I really liked... I'll have to go online and see if I can find some cute ones. Why is it when you are looking for something in particular to buy, you can't find anything you like? But when you aren't looking... you can find all sorts of items to spend money on!

SushiHad lunch at a kaiten sushi restaurant... it's so good not to be sick anymore. I can finally enjoy eating again! I think my favorite sushi is shrimp tempura roll... I'm not too big on raw fish, although I do love spicy tuna rolls. What's your favorite sushi?

I have been meaning to complete the seven random facts/habits meme from Joyce and have finally gotten it done! Each player starts with seven random facts/habits about themselves. People who are tagged need to write their own blog with their seven things as well as these rules. You need to tag seven others and list their names on your blog. Remember to leave a comment for them letting them know they have been tagged and to read your blog.

Here's my seven random facts/habits...

1 - I love to shop for cosmetics. I am not sure why, since I hardly wear any makeup on a daily basis; but, I love to buy and try the newest products lining the shelves of Sephora. Sometimes I even forget what I have at home an end up buying multiple items on different shopping sprees... then I usually end up unloading tons of unopened products on eBay.

2 - My younger sister is my best friend in the whole world next to my husband. She and I can finish each other's sentences, just look at each other and know what the other is thinking, skip from subject to subject but still know what each other is talking about, mention a word or two and it'll bring up some random memory that will send us into laughter, and so on and so on. It's like we speak our own secret language sometimes!

3 - I love to buy cookbooks, read cooking magazines, and watch cooking shows... but I rarely, if ever, cook. I much rather EAT!

4 - One of my favorite movies is Roman Holiday with Audrey Hepburn and Gregory Peck. I love that the ending is not your typical romantic movie conclusion. Sometimes the guy doesn't get the girl... and that's okay.

5 - I cannot wait to have children of my own... hopefully it will be sooner than later. Although I know it is possible, I don't really relish the thought of having my first child when I am in my 40s.

6 - Before I moved to Seattle, I went to the doctor and was told I was 5-feet, 4-inches, and a half. But somehow since I moved here, I have stretched to be a little over 5-feet, 5-inches tall according to my doctor at my last physical. I have no idea how I grew, but I am thankful to be just a little taller!

7 - By 2010, we plan to move back home to Hawaii. I miss the year-round sunshine, warm weather, and especially my family.

Since I am so behind in completing this meme, I'm not sure who to tag that hasn't already completed this one. So... an open invitation to anyone who'd like to share their seven random facts/habits meme with me!

After weeks of being sick, I finally went into the hospital for minor surgery on Friday. Having spent most of the weekend in bed resting, I am feeling much better and almost back to my usual self. My husband was great through everything… bringing me my meals in bed, picking up my medications, and keeping my spirits up. I am so happy to be on the mend… hopefully I will be able to get caught up on all my summer projects and plans soon!

Forth & TowneWonderful weekend weather! Spent most of the weekend running errands and shopping… Stopped by Forth & Towne to check out their final sale and pick up a couple of items at 50 to 75% off. I am really going to miss shopping at that store! Also swung by the Gap for some summer basics and Sephora to take a quick look around and pick up a replacement for the Bare Escentuals Go Bare, Baby kit that I bought a couple of weeks ago only to get home and notice one of the all-over-face color pots was missing. I had such a relaxing weekend that I am really not looking forward to heading back into the office tomorrow. Too bad the next three-day weekend isn't until July!

Bowl_of_cherriesOne of my coworkers brought in the most delicious bowls of fresh, cold cherries to share with us. Yum! Reminder to self to stop by a roadside stand and pick up some cherries to snack on at home…
